Squirrels

Oh, man, you guys have no idea how much I missed posting pictures on here! I’m serious, but you have to blame me for that because I can be so lazy to actually upload the pictures. *sigh* Well, hopefully after school is over (in less than four weeks, eep!), I would have more time to post them. Maybe I would have a recap of what had happened for the past month or something. How does that sound? I personally think that sounds awesome! Haha.

Well, this picture was taken in school when I was on the way back to the dorms after my JOUR110 writing class. The little guy just jumped out of the trash can with a sandwich in his mouth, and I was like: “OMG!” just to take the picture. Haha. Maybe you guys will see more pictures of squirrels around my school. They do really crazy things around here, and they’re not even afraid when you get that close to them either!

College Making It Happen

I am one of my school’s ambassadors, and we had a volunteer event called College Making It Happen last Saturday. It is basically simple workshops and a small campus tour for middle school children and their parents. It’s surprising to know how informed college is to children nowadays because I seriously do not remember going to college field trips when I was at that age!

Anyway, here is Pat, dressed up as … I don’t even know what, but I called him Mouse all day. Haha. I give him props for dressing up, though, because it was more than 90 degrees out. And someday you guys will know how he really looks like!

Unfortunately, the original lunch orders for everyone in the event, even for us ambassadors, didn’t even work out because something about the person who was in charge of it quit two weeks ago, and no one knew. So, we were in a rush to actually give everyone a “lunch,” and that explains the numerous amount of drinks. What sucked even more is that people wanted drinks really badly because it was so hot, and we couldn’t serve them immediately yet because we want everything to be served at the same time. There were parents and children giving us disgusting glares, and some of them even wanted to snatch a drink without us looking! It really wasn’t pretty.

All in all, the event went alright and even ended early than expected. I think some things could’ve been worse, but it didn’t. Whew.

Student Elections ‘08

With less than five weeks of school left, I have been feeling very lethargic about doing anything, especially school, which is bad because I really want to do well in my classes. That would explain why I have not been updating here for more than a week. Anyways, there is a student election today (and yesterday) for the student government. I didn’t vote, though. Haha. Oh well. There were a lot of people asking others to vote for sure, like I have been asked so many times these two days.
